Most complete
Two days and two nights with accommodation, meals and the practical details handled.
Flexible
The full route and accommodation, using the same cottage each night and managing your own meals.
One day
Choose the River / Coast or Bush / Back Country route.
Discount
Current offer on the fully catered 2-night package only. Bring your card.
Extra night
Self-catered, subject to availability.
Midweek
Fully catered, currently for 4+ people arriving Tuesday or Wednesday.
Linen
Sheets, duvet with cover, pillowcases and towel.

The dates listed here are specifically the dates where there are already walkers booked and extra spaces are available to join them. They are not the full list of dates that can be booked.

Booking & payment
Whareama does not use instant checkout. The hosts confirm availability and then ask for the deposit needed to secure the booking.
For both fully catered and self-catered 2-Day / 2-Night walks. One-Day Walk deposits are currently NZ$45 per person.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card, with one deposit payment per group. Credit-card payments currently carry a 3.25% transaction fee and there is no EFTPOS facility on site. Overseas bank transfers are asked to add a NZ$25 bank charge.
Bank-transfer details are supplied as part of the booking confirmation so payment is only made after availability has been checked.
Cancellation policy
NZ$100 administration fee per person; the remainder of the deposit is refunded.
Deposit is not refunded, but other payments are refunded.
No refund under the current policy.
If Whareama closes the route for extreme weather, walkers are offered a reschedule or full walk refund.
You may find a replacement walker and name changes are allowed up to the last minute. Current terms also allow a booking to be rescheduled twice, with payments carried forward; a booking moved to another season uses that season’s updated price. Walk vouchers are currently non-refundable but transferable.
